Press Release Body = MONROVIA- GTCbio today announced that Bert Vogelstein, MD,
Professor of Oncology and Pathology at Johns Hopkins University, will be giving the
Keynote Address at this year's Tumor Progression & Therapeutic Resistance
Conference. The conference is being held October 22-24, 2006 at the Radisson Plaza
Lord Baltimore in Baltimore Maryland.

Dr. Vogelstein's work has influenced cancer revolution. Among being a professor at
Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Vogelstein is an investigator of the Howard Hughes
Medical Institute and is most well known as a pioneer in cancer research. He has
received several prestigious awards throughout his career, including the Gairdner
Foundation International Award, Louisa Gross Horwitz Prize, Prince of Asturias Award
for Technical and Scientific Research, and other awards for his research. His
presentation, entitled "Translational Implications of Colorectal Cancer Genetics",
will take place on the morning of October 22.

The 3 day event will also feature over 40 speakers from Harvard, Yale, NCI/NIH,
University of Pennsylvania, MD Anderson Cancer Center, UT Southwestern, Columbia,
Salk Institute, Stanford, Georgetown University, Case Western Reserve, Northwestern,
Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Karmanos Cancer Inst., UCSF, Novartis, GSK,
